7 weeks:

The pups come home

Here's the big day! The humans are here to pick us up!

The kids wait patiently to be let out.

They take one last romp and say goodbye to each other.

Time to pick out the humans; Becker climbs over and says "I want this one!"

Becker has to fight with his brother for attention.

But of course, he winds up winning! Becker says, "I pick this one, too!"

Becker's sniffing Matt, making sure he made the right choice.

Becker's making sure I taste good enough to be his mom.

Yup, the decision is final! Becker can relax now.

Becker rode home draped across my shoulders like a vizsla wrap.

We stopped in Rockford so that Becker could meet Uncle Fozzie

He liked lying around in the Lindstrom house.

Looking very serious in the Lindstrom front yard.

He did sleep in his new crate on the way back to Homer Glen, though. He looked very comfy.

The first thing he did when we set him down in the front yard was point at the mailbox.

He explored his new living room and tasted the carpet a little bit.

Then he went out and explored his new backyard.

After all that excitement, he needed a nap.

8 weeks:

Becker gets settled

8 weeks old and already holding a perfect sit! What a dog.

Becker begins his life-long quest to guilt me into feeling sorry for him and doing what he wants.

Yup, must be awful hard being this cute.

That's what he would have us believe, anyway.

He's a true Lindstrom kid at heart! If that isn't a "Enough pictures!" look, I don't know what is!

Takin' a nap in the sunshine.

Again with the pouty puppy dog eyes! It's a wonder we ever got this dog trained to do anything!

Looks pretty comfy.

Same beanbag, different nap. He spent an awful lot of time in this sleepy puppy position during those first few days! Like a human baby, he needed a lot of sleep.

Also like a human baby, he put everything in his mouth...including his own feet.

Playing in my lap with his rope toy...look at that little smile!

Again with the foot in the mouth...what a baby!

Becker's first bath...he wasn't too happy about it!

He forgave me eventually, though.

9 weeks:

Becker learns about the world

Time to start learning other commands than "sit"! This is one of his first training sessions learning "lie down" and "stay" for a nice picture.

Guess he had enough of the training session--he's gone goofy!

Chewin' on sticks out in the backyard.

Oh how he loves those sticks!

That's a happy puppy if I've ever seen one.

Yup, this is the life.

He's got too much lip and not enough teeth to work a squeak toy just yet.

Asking to go outside already!

10 weeks:

Becker's personality emerges

Such a serious little man sometimes! But what a sweet face.

He's got a pretty happy-go-lucky attitude about life.

As long as the sun is out, that is...here he is sitting outside in his first rainstorm, looking very unhappy about it.

Still trying to be a good sport, though.

He was happy once it was over, and took a drink from the deck railing.

He loves his toys!

He's got the intense hunter stare down pat.

But then he can still be a pretty boy, too.

He's always ready for a close-up.

And then of course, snuggle-pup extraordinaire, taking a nap with dad.
